Falcons, MOUZ, Legacy and MIBR reach CS Asia semifinals

Team Falcons, MOUZ, MIBR and Legacy advanced to the CS Asia Championships semifinals in Shanghai on Friday.

Sixteen teams began the $400,000 Counter-Strike 2 event on Wednesday. The winner of best-of-five grand final on Sunday will take home $150,000.

Falcons began the action Friday by sweeping Legacy in the Group A upper-bracket final, winning 13-7 on Dust II and 13-9 on Ancient to advance directly to the semifinals.

MIBR beat B8 2-1 in the Group B upper-bracket final, wrapping a 13-1 victory on Inferno and a 13-2 win on Ancient around a 13-10 loss on Mirage to move into the semifinals.

Legacy moved to the quarterfinals to face The MongolZ, who swept PARIVISION in the Group B lower-bracket final. Legacy advanced with a tight 2-1 win, sandwiching a 13-11 win on Inferno and a 13-10 win on Nuke around a 13-10 victory by The MongolZ on Mirage.

B8 dropped to the quarterfinals to take on MOUZ, a 2-0 winner against paiN Gaming in the Group A lower-bracket final. MOUZ pulled off another sweep against B8, winning 13-8 on Overpass and pulling out a hard-fought 22-20 win on Ancient.
