Meyer Shank Racing confirmed on Wednesday that Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist will not return to the team in 2027.

The 34-year-old Swedish driver informed MSR that he has accepted an offer to join an IndyCar Series rival next year. The new team has not been named but reports have pointed to Andretti Global of Arrow McLaren.

"It's unfortunate that Felix has decided to move on from MSR at the end of the season, particularly given everything we've accomplished together, including this year's Indy 500 victory," MSR co-owner Mike Shank told RACER.

"Over the past several years, Felix has played an important role in helping build this program into what it is today, and we're grateful for his contributions both on and off the track."

Rosenqvist piloted the No. 60 MSR Honda to victory at the Indy 500 on May 24. It was his second podium finish of the season after finishing second at Long Beach on April 19.

It was the second win of his career and the first since Road America in 2020, when he was a member of the Arrow McLaren team. He joined Meyer Shank Racing in 2024.

Rosenqvist currently ranks sixth in the IndyCar Series standings.

"There are still eight races left on the schedule, and everyone at MSR remains fully committed to achieving the strongest results possible in the championship and delivering for our partners," Shank said.

"While we wish Felix nothing but success in the next chapter of his career, our focus at MSR is on the future and ensuring we have the right driver in place for the 2027 season."
