Florida State Had A Horrible First Half
Florida State is having a hard time dealing with Auburn—whose running game ESPN earlier likened to an un-winnable game of three-card monte—because the Tigers have all of a sudden taken to the air. Nick Marshall is 7-13 for 113 yards and two touchdowns, one a 50-yard hookup with Melvin Ray.
Meanwhile, that's your Heisman winner up top—6-15 for 62 yards in the half—reacting to his fumble on FSU's 25, that allowed Auburn to take a 21-3 lead.
Late in the half, the Noles did cut the lead to 21-1o and it was desperately, desperately needed. On a fourth-and-four play with a little under four minutes remaining, successfully faked a punt to extend the drive and a Devonta Freeman three-yard rush made good on the gamble. Now, even though it feels like Auburn is dominating, the score says a little different.
