Photo: [object Object] Former Indianapolis Colts running back Zurlon Tipton is reportedly dead after he accidentally shot himself today while picking up a duffel bag containing two guns in his car. He was 26.
According to FOX 2 Detroit, Tipton parked his car in the service bay of a dealership in Roseville, Mich. When he went to move the bag from the trunk, one of the guns went off and shot him in the stomach.
In December, police arrested Tipton and charged him with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon after he allegedly shot an AR-15 outside his girlfriend’s home in Greenwood, Ind. Tipton said that he had received threatening texts from the girlfriend’s ex and went to check on her. The ex wasn’t found near the house.
