Former T1 bot-laner Gumayusi joins Hanwha Life Esports
Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyu joined Hanwha Life Esports on Nov. 24, 2025. Former T1 bot-laner Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyu has joined Hanwha Life Esports' League of Legends roster for the 2026 season.
Gumayusi helped T1 win consecutive world titles, including being named the tournament's MVP in 2025. But his time with the team included being previously benched, and after his departure from T1 he was the target of alleged cyberbulling that led to Korean lawmaker Jeon Yong-gi issuing a public statement calling for immediate action.
Gumayusi will now be reunited with former teammate Choi "Zeus" Woo-je.
"With his exceptional performance and extensive experience, Gumayusi will help lead Hanwha Life Esports toward even greater heights," the team said, as translated by X. "We kindly ask for your continued support as we begin our journey with Gumayusi in the 2026 season."
Gumayusi and Zeus were both part of T1's academy team when they were promoted. They will now team together again as HLE revamps its roster for 2026 after failing to reach the Worlds. The organization also parted ways with Park "Viper" Do-hyeon.
