Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-Imagn Images Mark Schlereth will replace the embattled Mark Sanchez in the Fox broadcast booth for Sunday's game between the Seattle Seahawks and host Jacksonville Jaguars.
Schlereth, 59, will handle color commentary for the 1 p.m. ET contest alongside play-by-play announcer Chris Myers and sideline reporter Sarah Kustok, according to the Fox lineup posted Thursday on X.
Schlereth, who won three Super Bowls in the 1990s as an offensive lineman with Washington (1991 season) and Denver (1997 and 1998), has been calling games for Fox since 2017.
Sanchez, 38, is facing a felony charge and a civil lawsuit in connection with a fight last weekend in Indianapolis. He was charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury and three misdemeanors.
Sanchez was stabbed during the altercation with a 69-year-old truck driver, allegedly in an argument over a parking space. His felony charge carries a potential prison sentence of one to six years if convicted.
Brady Quinn replaced Sanchez for last Sunday's broadcast of the Colts' game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
