Guardians place SS Gabriel Arias (hamstring) on IL

In a corresponding move, Cleveland recalled shortstop Juan Brito from Triple-A Columbus.
Arias, 26, doubled in the fifth inning of Monday's 4-2 home loss to the Kansas City Royals and stood on second base, hunched over and grabbing his left hamstring before exiting the game.
Arias is batting .200 (6-for-30) with two home runs and four RBIs through 10 games this season. He is a career .215 hitter with 27 homers, 104 RBIs and 51 doubles in 330 games with Cleveland since 2022.
Brito, 24, is batting .314 (11-for-35) with five doubles and four RBIs in nine games at Columbus. He is ranked as the No. 16 prospect in the organization by MLB Pipeline and has yet to appear in a major league game.
