Here's The Joey Barton Meltdown From Today's Stunning Manchester City Comeback
Before we got to the dramatic finish, QPR's Joey Barton provided some initial fireworks after getting sent off for an "off-the-ball incident involving Carlos Tevez."
After being shown the red card, he flipped out and kicked eventual hero Sergio Aguero. The red card comes with an automatic four-game ban but his post-game comments have upped the ante.
Barton is apparently claiming that the kick was a deliberate attempt to bait Man City into losing a player of its own, to level the playing field.
"The head was never gone at any stage, once I'd been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take one of theirs with me. It never worked but god loves a trier."
Friend of the program, Mario Balotelli almost indulged him, but not even Mario was that stupid.
