Mandatory Credit: James Guillory-Imagn Images Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin was activated from injured reserve and will return to the lineup versus the Seattle Kraken on Saturday in Raleigh, N.C.
Slavin, 31, has been sidelined since sustaining an upper-body injury in Carolina's 4-3 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on Dec. 19. He has yet to record a point while playing in just five games this season after missing the first two months with a lower-body injury.
"I've never had to deal with injuries like that before," Slavin said following Saturday's morning skate. "We're good to go. Ready to be back out there."
Named to the 2026 United States' Olympic team, Slavin has 299 points (55 goals, 244 assists) and a plus-165 rating in 750 career games with the Hurricanes. He was selected by Carolina in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL Draft.
