Deadcast: Is Ernie Banks’ Body Being Hidden In Washington, D.C.?
Since Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks died over a month ago, his surviving family members have been engaged in a blood feud with Banks's former mistress over both Banks's remaining assets (rumored to be valued at a mere $16,000) and his remains, the location of which are at present unknown. Even though some of Banks's family members claim he's already been buried in Chicago, a Guardian called the cemetery in question and could find no record of his interment. But one reader may know where Banks' body is at this very moment, and it's one of the subjects in the first episode of our rebooted Deadcast podcast.
Yes, the Deadcast returns from a three-year absence—and we have microphones this time! So join me and Tim Marchman as we recount one reader's possible morbid brush with the cadaver of Ernie Banks. Oh, and we talk about Kobe as well. And we read some angry, longwinded emails from Harvard supporters. All good stuff. If you have anything you'd like to hear discussed on the revived podcast, just send it in to [email protected] with the subject line DEADCAST. You can listen to the show here or download it over at the iTunes store.
