It Looks Like The 49ers Kicked Out The Girl Scouts For A Beyoncé Concert
Earlier this week, the San Francisco 49ers cancelled a planned sleepover at Levi’s Stadium for the top cookie sellers from Girl Scout troops around Northern California. As a reward for selling the most cookies, the scouts were going to spend the night of May 14 eating pizza and watching a movie on the jumbotron. But an opportunity to make a ton of money by hosting a concert came along, and so the 49ers cancelled the sleepover to be able to use the field for setup. They later rescheduled it.
The 49ers wouldn’t say what concert they were cancelling the sleepover for, but it seems to be America’s favorite pop star: Beyoncé. After her Super Bowl halftime performance tonight, a commercial announced the news of her upcoming “Formation” world tour. And one of the tour stops will be Levi’s Stadium on May 16, just two days after the original date of the sleepover. It’s the only event currently scheduled at the stadium in the month of May.
Not cool, Bey, not cool.
