Roy put in a rebound of his own shot five-hole for his first goal in 16 games.

Eichel extended the lead to 3-0 early in the third period when he tucked in a rebound of a Noah Hanifin shot through Allen's pads.
Palat cut the deficit to 3-1 with 4:17 remaining with a power-play goal, snapping in a shot from the right side of the net inside the near post past Hill's glove side.
The Devils pulled Allen for an extra attacker and appeared to score again with 52.5 seconds when Palat, in the low slot, deflected Dougie Hamilton's point shot into the net. However, the goal was taken off the board after a video review when it was determined Palat's stick was above the crossbar when he made the deflection.
