Jaguars coach: TE Evan Engram 'probably' out vs. Bills

Mandatory Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram will miss his second straight game due to a hamstring injury, coach Doug Pederson said Saturday.
Pederson, however, was slightly more optimistic regarding the status of safety Darnell Savage (quad) for the Jaguars' game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday in Orchard Park, N.Y.
"Evan (is) probably not gonna make it. He tried this week, it's just not there yet. Hopefully next week, we'll see," Pederson said. "Darnell, we'll give him one more day today and see if he can push through it."
Engram sustained his injury during warmups prior to Sunday's game against the visiting Cleveland Browns, while Savage was injured in practice last week.
Engram, 30, had career-high totals in catches (114) and receiving yards (963) to go along with four touchdowns in 17 starts last season. The two-time Pro Bowl selection was limited to just one catch in Jacksonville's 20-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1.
In Engram's absence, second-year tight end Brenton Strange, 23, caught a career-high three passes for 65 yards in Sunday's 18-13 loss to Cleveland.
Savage, 27, signed a three-year, $21.8 million deal with the Jaguars in the offseason. He had two passes defensed in the opener at Miami and has tallied 302 tackles and nine interceptions in 73 career games (70 starts) for the Green Bay Packers and Jaguars.
