Jonathan Martin Says He Whomped A Shoplifter At The Versace Store

The picture above was tweeted out last night by 49ers offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, and it depicts the apparent aftermath of Martin putting the hurt on some dude who was trying to steal from a Versace store.

Kristian Dyer of Yahoo Sports got in touch with Martin after the incident, and based on his description of events, it sounds like the would-be shoplifter got his shit rocked:

Martin told Shutdown Corner that he ran across the corridor into the store and helped the security guard in corralling the second alleged shoplifter, who was a man larger than the security guard. Martin said he punched the person "five to eight times" until he went down. He wanted to do just enough to get the man to stop fighting so that he could be subdued by security.

Shoplifting in the presence of a very large football player is a bad idea. Don't do that, shoplifters.
