St. Louis doubled its lead with 6:17 left in the first. Kessel broke up the right wing, took a lead pass from Sundqvist and fired a shot through Wolf's blocker side.
The Flames tested Binnington early in the second. He made a left pad save on a deflected shot early in the second period, then he stopped Jonathan Huberdeau's short-handed breakaway.
The Blues pushed their lead to 3-0 at the 7:20 mark of the period. Wolf stopped Alexey Toropchenko's rush up the middle, but Walker swiped the rebound into the net.
Robert Thomas nearly made it 4-0, but his one-time shot from the left circle hit the knob of Wolf's stick before hitting the cross bar.
Coronato took an outlet pass from Brayden Pachal and beat Binnington with a blast off right wing to put Calgary on the board with 5:56 left in the period.
Just 25 seconds later, Andersson cut the Calgary deficit to 3-2 with a shot under the crossbar from the right point.
The Flames outshot the Blues 16-7 in the third period, but Binnington managed to preserve the one-goal lead on the night he surpassed Mike Liut for the most games played by a Blues goaltender.
