Kings beat Jazz behind DeMar DeRozan's season-best effort

Mandatory Credit: Dennis Lee-Imagn Images DeMar DeRozan recorded season highs of 41 points and 11 assists to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 116-111 victory over the visiting Utah Jazz on Sunday night.
Precious Achiuwa added 20 points and 11 rebounds and Killian Hayes had 16 points and eight assists as the Kings won for the fourth time in their past five games. Nique Clifford had 10 points before fouling out and reserve Daeqwon Plowden also scored 10 points for Sacramento.
Cody Williams scored a career-best 34 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists for the Jazz, who lost for the 11th time in the past 13 games.
Brice Sensabaugh scored 22 points, Isaiah Collier added 21 and Elijah Harkless had 13 for Utah.
DeRozan made 18 of 21 free throws and had three steals while Hayes made four treys for the Kings, who were without Russell Westbrook (foot) on the second end of a back-to-back.
Both teams suited up just eight players.
Sacramento shot 48.2% from the field and was 11 of 36 from 3-point range. The Kings held a 50-40 rebounding edge.
The Jazz connected on 47.7% of their shots, including 12 of 36 from behind the arc.
Sacramento opened the fourth quarter with a 10-2 run. Doug McDermott culminated it with a trey to give the Kings a 99-90 lead with 10:24 remaining.
Sacramento led 110-99 after Plowden drained a 3-pointer with 4:46 remaining. Bez Mbeng scored on a layup and Williams and Harkless buried treys as the Jazz moved within three with 3:19 to play.
Utah later crept within 113-11 on Williams' basket with 2:01 left. Achiuwa's basket with 1:16 remaining gave the Kings a four-point edge and DeRozan split two free throws with 14.9 seconds to go.
DeRozan scored 18 points in the first half as Sacramento led 54-49 at the break. Williams had 16 points in the half for the Jazz.
The Kings used an 11-1 run in the third quarter to open up a 69-57 lead with 8:01 left. DeRozan capped the burst by sinking two free throws.
Utah battled back and Andersson Garcia's 3-pointer with 11.5 seconds left allowed the Jazz to trail 89-88 entering the final stanza.
