Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagn Images The Sacramento Kings, in need of a point guard since trading away De'Aaron Fox last week, signed free agent Markelle Fultz on Wednesday.
The team confirmed that Fultz received a deal through the end of the season. No financial terms were announced.
Fultz tweeted a response to a report of the move before it was finalized: "Gods Plan (prayer hands emoji)"

Selected No. 1 overall in the 2017 draft by the Philadelphia 76ers out of the University of Washington, Fultz has been out of the NBA all season. ESPN reported that he was rehabbing from an offseason injury.
Last season with the Magic, Fultz averaged 7.8 points, 2.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 43 games (18 starts), the worst of his five seasons in Orlando. He began his NBA career by playing two seasons in Philadelphia.
In 234 career games (164 starts), Fultz has averages of 11.1 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
Fox went to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team trade that sent Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls to the Kings. Sacramento also got three first-round picks and three second-round picks.
The Kings (28-28) have won three consecutive games and sit in ninth place in the Western Conference, which would put them in the play-in tournament.
