St. Louis capitalized on its first power play to extend its lead to 2-0 midway through the period. Dvorsky fired a pass from the right circle toward Jimmy Snuggerud at the left post, but Kraken defenseman Adam Larsson accidentally deflected it into the net.

The Kraken tied the game 2-2 with a power-play goal with 4:35 left in the period. Vince Dunn fired a slap shot, and Tolvanen converted the weak-side rebound.
Kyrou put the Blues ahead 3-2 with 14:50 left in the third. Philip Broberg triggered a goalmouth scramble with two shot attempts, then Kyrou finished it by scoring on a rebound from outside the left post.
With Grubauer off the ice for an extra attacker, the Kraken tied the game 3-3 when Stephenson shot the puck and Jordan Eberle negated Hofer's stick in the crease.
