LYON blanked Cloud9 3-0 in the upper-bracket final of the LCS Spring playoffs on Sunday in Los Angeles, advancing to the grand final next weekend.

As a result, Cloud9 drops into the lower-bracket final to face Team Liquid, who stayed alive Saturday with their 3-1 defeat of FlyQuest. The winner between Cloud9 and Liquid on Saturday will battle Cloud9 for the title on June 14.

Eight teams competed in the best-of-three matches in the round-robin regular season, with the top six advancing to the playoffs of the League of Legends event. The double-elimination playoffs are all best-of-five matches in a double-elimination format.

The top two teams will qualify for this summer's Mid-Season Invitational in Daejeon, South Korea, while the winner also gets a trip to the Esports World Cup in Paris in July.

On Sunday, LYON prevailed in 43 minutes, 35 minutes and 30 minutes, playing every map on blue. Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol of South Korea rallied a 23-3-18 kills-deaths-assists ratio, including a 14-0-5 in the final game. Australian teammate Jonah "Isles" Rosario racked up 43 total assists.

American Robert "Blaber" Huang led Cloud9 with 10 kills but also had a team-high 16 deaths.
