Macklin Celebrini tallied one goal and two assists to become the Sharks' franchise leader for points in a single season, guiding San Jose to a 6-1 win against the host Winnipeg Jets on Thursday in the season finale for both teams.

Celebrini, 19, reached 115 points (45 goals, 70 assists) to break Joe Thornton's record of 114 points set in the 2006-2007 season. The Vancouver native broke the record with a snap shot at 1:14 of the third period that capped the game's scoring.

William Eklund also logged a goal and two assists, Will Smith had a goal and an assist and Alex Nedeljkovic made 25 saves for the Sharks (39-35-8, 86 points), who had lost four of their previous five games (1-3-1).

San Jose's John Klingberg recorded three assists in his 700th NHL game, and Igor Chernyshov, Collin Graf and Michael Misa contributed a goal apiece.

Cole Koepke scored the lone goal for the Jets (35-35-12, 82 points), who ended their season with four straight losses. Eric Comrie made 27 saves.

Koepke put Winnipeg up 1-0 at 3:28 of the first period when he caught a breakaway and scored on a snap shot.

Chernyshov tied it 1-1 at 6:26 of the first. Celebrini set the play up on a power play by feeding Eklund up for a slap shot. Comrie defended the shot, and Chernyshov scored on the rebound.

Smith gave San Jose a 2-1 lead at 16:54 of the opening period when Celebrini set him up with a cross-ice pass. Smith scored on a snap shot close to the net.

Graf extended the Sharks' lead to 3-1 at 5:51 of the second period. The forward broke up the ice on a 2-on-1 and scored on a wrist shot.

Misa made it 4-1 at 18:01 of the second when he scored on his own rebound.

Eklund scored on a rebound with chaos in front of the net to put the Sharks up 5-1 with five seconds left in the middle period.
