Mariners unload on offense to roll past Tigers 15-7

Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-Imagn Images Randy Arozarena had three hits, including a two-run homer, and scored four runs as the visiting Seattle Mariners romped past the Detroit Tigers 15-7 on Saturday.
Julio Rodriguez also had three hits, including a solo home run, while scoring three runs and driving in two more for the Mariners, while Luke Raley supplied a three-run homer during a five-run third-inning outburst.
J.P. Crawford drove in four runs for Seattle, Dominic Canzone added four hits with an RBI and Ben Williamson contributed three hits and two RBIs.
Cal Raleigh had a sacrifice fly but remained at 38 homers, one shy of tying the record for most homers prior to the All-Star break.
Seattle starter George Kirby (4-4) gave up four runs with six strikeouts in five innings.
Riley Greene drove in four runs, including a three-run homer, for Detroit, while Zach McKinstry added a two-run homer. Tigers starter Casey Mize (9-3), chosen as an All-Star replacement this week, gave up six runs and six hits in three innings.
The Tigers got on the board in the first inning on Greene's sacrifice fly. In the second, Canzone knocked in Arozarena with a double.
Mize immediately got into trouble in the third as Cole Young led off with a double. He scored on Crawford's single to center. Rodriguez hit into a fielder's choice, then stole second and moved to third on a throwing error. He scored on Raleigh's sacrifice fly.
Arozarena was hit by a pitch and Jorge Polanco doubled before Raley clubbed a Mize splitter over the right field wall to make it 6-1.
Rodriguez's RBI single in the fourth off Keider Montero increased Seattle's lead to six runs. The Tigers clawed back to 7-4 in the fifth on Greene's 23rd homer.
Rodriguez took advantage of a hanging Montero slider for his 13th homer to make it 8-4 in the sixth.
Ben Williamson's RBI single increased the Mariners lead to five runs in the seventh. Wenceel Perez had an RBI single in the bottom of the inning.
Arozarena hit his two-run homer in the eighth. McKinstry matched that in the bottom of the inning with his two-run shot.
Seattle scored four times in the ninth with Crawford delivering a three-run double.
