Married Latino Male, Financially Secure, Must Be Able To Handle Travel
This image was lost some time after publication. A reader who uses Friendster — apparently there's a Friendster-Deadspin crossover; who knew? — sent us the attached picture of an advertisement for WebDate that popped up on his Friendster page. That's Alex Rodriguez's smiling face, used in the advertising.
There are three possible explanations for this:
1. Someone at Webdate, intentionally or not, swiped an A-Rod picture and put it in an ad. 2. A-Rod has a quiet licensing deal with the company. 3. Webdate randomly takes pictures from his members' ads, and A-Rod, in his quest to find swinging couples for his wife and him, just happened to come up.
You know which one we think.
