Michigan G Macy Brown (knee) out for rest of NCAA Tournament
Michigan Wolverines guard Macy Brown (2) on Jan. 11, 2025 at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Ind. Michigan reserve guard Macy Brown will miss the rest of the Women's NCAA Tournament with a torn ACL.
The 6-foot junior sustained the injury to her right knee during a practice last weekend, the school confirmed on Friday.
The second-seeded Wolverines (27-6) face third-seeded Louisville (29-7) in the Sweet 16 on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.
"We are heartbroken for her, but know that her energy and spirit will continue to make an impact on the sideline," the team posted on social media.
Brown played in 30 games off the bench this season, averaging 2.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 12.2 minutes per contest.
