Junior League Hockey Player Suspended After Concussing Flyers Prospect
[object Object] Pascal Laberge was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round of this year’s NHL draft, and currently plays for the Victoriaville Tigres in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. During Saturday’s game against the Moncton Wildcats, he took a vicious hit from Zachary Malatesta.
Laberge has been diagnosed with a concussion, and Malatesta has been suspended indefinitely while the league investigates. Given the video quality, it’s hard to tell how much of a sprint Malatesta was in leading up to the hit, or if he went after Laberge’s head on purpose.
