More Steve McNair Revelations And Fallout
Mechelle McNair, Steve's wife of 12 years, had no idea her husband was cheating on her until after his death, the NY Daily News reports. But one former NFL quarterback's wife offered some unfiltered opinion on how she'd react.
Holly Robinson Peete, wife of former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete and "21 Jump Street" alum, after she displayed the requisite shock and condolences while Twittering, took a different approach to her post-McNair death reaction, one which should keep Rodney from stepping out on her anytime soon.
And then she went back to conversing with Jody Watley and discussing a Commodores show. But she does bring up an interesting point (a little early and a little too publicly, mind you) about how pro athletes will react to McNair's death when it comes to their own extra-marital affairs. I don't know if this will be a deterrent, but it might make some players take a closer look at their goomah's mental stability to make sure the potential for gun-play is minimal. I also anticipate NFLPA honcho Demaurice Smith will weave this morality lesson into some of his real talks with players in the future.
