Nationals agree to one-year deal with RHP Cade Cavalli

According to MLB.com, the deal is worth $862,500 and includes a 2027 club option worth $4 million with a buyout of $7,500.
Cavalli filed for $900,000 and Washington offered $825,000. Counting the small 2027 buyout guarantees Cavalli $870,000 in all.
Cavalli, 27, went 3-1 with a 4.25 ERA in 10 starts last season after recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent in March 2023.
Cavalli made one big-league appearance in 2022 and gave up seven runs and six hits over 4 1/3 innings.
In 11 career starts, Cavalli is 3-2 with a 5.09 ERA.
