The game has been rescheduled as part of a split-doubleheader on Sunday.
The Rockies, with a new hitting coach on the bench, will attempt to snap a six-game losing streak when they open their three-game series against the Nationals on Saturday.
Hensley Meulens was fired on Thursday as the team's former manager, Clint Hurdle, takes over as the Rockies' hitting coach.
The Nationals have lost six of their last eight games.
