Ohio State signs record $17M jersey patch deal with Chase
Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin (10) reacts during the second half of the NCAA football game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Nov. 22, 2025. Ohio State won 42-9. Ohio State announced a lucrative jersey patch agreement with the banking institution JPMorganChase on Tuesday.
The record-setting deal is worth a reported $17 million per year and includes patches for all 36 Buckeyes teams.
Ohio State athletic director Ross Bjork said in a news release that the partnership includes branding at stadiums and "enhances the Buckeyes' overall competitive success and facilitates academic partnerships across the university."
"JPMorganChase is a global brand with deep roots in Ohio, making them a natural partner that shares our commitment to innovation, excellence and long-term community impact," Bjork said. "Together, we have built a comprehensive and historic partnership that reflects the strong commercial strength of the Ohio State Athletics identity and the broader college athletics landscape."
Ohio State did not confirm the value of the pact. Multiple outlets reported that in addition to putting its logo on the school's jerseys, the deal with Chase includes NIL opportunities for the Buckeyes' student-athletes.
Ohio State is the fourth Big Ten school to announce a jersey patch deal following Illinois (Busey Bank), Michigan State (MSUFCU) and Wisconsin (Culver's). The Illinois-Busey Bank deal is worth a reported $6 million annually, according to Front Office Sports.
