Mandatory Credit: William Purnell-Imagn Images The Baltimore Orioles' series opener against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays was postponed Friday due to inclement weather.
Instead, the American League East rivals will play a split-admission doubleheader on July 29, scheduled for 12:35 and 6:35 p.m.
Baltimore and Toronto were slated to begin a three-game series Friday as the Orioles embarked on a would-be nine-game homestand against the Jays, Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds.
The team opened the season with a four-game series in Toronto, with each side winning twice.
It was not yet known how the clubs' pitching plans would be affected. Orioles right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano (1-1, 2.89 ERA) was scheduled to oppose Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis (1-1, 3.18 ERA) on Friday.
