Perhaps Burglars Should Skip Ronnie Wilson's House
One, two, three, four, five ... I count about 20 direct hits on the target here, proof that you should probably not try the window at Ronnie Wilson's place if you forget your key. Wilson has had plenty of time for traget pratice lately after being suspended by Florida coach Urban Meyer, who acknowledged on Wednesday that the heralded offensive lineman was not practicing with the team. Wilson was charged recently with assault after two women said he punched them at a party on Oct. 5 at a Gainesville apartment complex. This is all totally unexpected, of course. Man, the ranks on the Gator sideline are going to be rather slim against Vanderbilt on Saturday. Meanwhile, Florida backup cornerback Jacques Rickerson was dismissed from the team after his arrest Tuesday morning on third-degree assault charges. Rickerson is said to have choked his girlfriend and held a pillow over her face, preventing her from leaving their apartment in the same apartment complex as the Wilson incident. Makes you wonder what goes on in this household when no one's watching. And just to make this a complete fun-filled Gator roundup, Jaguars linebacker Mike Peterson, a former Gator, was sent home by Jacksonville coach Jack Del Rio for criticizing the team on not offering him a contract extension.
