Mandatory Credit: Bob Kupbens-Imagn Images Philadelphia Phillies rookie Andrew Painter was scratched from Sunday's series finale against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks due to a migraine.
Fellow right-hander Zach Pop started what is expected to be a bullpen game in place of Painter, who went 1-0 with a 4.82 ERA in his first two starts.
Per the Phillies, Painter could enter the game out of the bullpen depending how he feels.
Painter, who turned 23 on Friday, gave up one run in 5 1/3 innings against the Washington Nationals in his MLB debut on March 31. However, the San Francisco Giants reached him for four runs on nine hits in four innings on Monday.
Painter struck out just one against San Francisco after recording eight punchouts versus Washington.
Pop, 29, has a 3.38 ERA in six relief appearances without a decision this season. Today marks his first career start in 170 games.
