Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo reacts during a match vs. Al Kholood in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia on Jan. 30, 2026
Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been left off the team's squad for friendly matches against Mexico and the United States as he continues to recover from a right hamstring injury.
Ronaldo, 41, has sat out Al Nassr's Saudi Pro League matches versus Neom and Al Khaleej.
He has undergone treatment in Madrid in the past two weeks but will be unable to suit up versus Mexico on March 28 in Mexico City and against the U.S. on March 31 in Atlanta.
Ronaldo has been Portugal's captain since 2008. His 143 goals and 226 senior appearances are the most all-time in men's international soccer.
