The Colorado Rapids transferred midfielder Connor Ronan to Scotland's Aberdeen FC on Wednesday.

Ronan, 28, had one assist in six matches (two starts) this season, his fourth with the Rapids.

The Englishman accumulated two goals and 14 assists in 103 appearances across all competitions from 2023-26.

"We'd like to thank Connor for his contributions to the Colorado Rapids over the past three-and-a-half seasons," Rapids president Padraig Smith said. "Connor has been a top professional throughout his time with the club and played an important role both on and off the field. We're grateful for his commitment to the Rapids and wish him and his family nothing but success in the next chapter of their journey."

Ronan helped the Rapids reach the 2024 Leagues Cup semifinals after defeating Club America in penalties.

Ronan already has signed a two-deal with the Dons, who hold the option on a third season.

"Aberdeen is a huge football club with big ambitions and that's difficult to turn down," he said in a statement. "I want to be part of helping the Club compete at the top end of the table, return to Europe and challenge for trophies.
