Ludwig-Imagn Images Captain Rasmus Dahlin scored twice on the power play to record the fifth multi-goal performance of his career, fueling the host Buffalo Sabres to a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.
Ryan McLeod collected a goal and an assist and Mattias Samuelsson and Jack Quinn each scored a goal to help the Sabres secure their 14th win in the last 16 games.
Buffalo won two of the three games against Philadelphia this season, with all three victories being recorded at home.
Josh Doan and Tage Thompson each notched two assists and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 20 saves to improve to 8-1-0 at home this season. Luukkonen arguably made his best save by flashing his glove to deny an unmarked Nikita Grebenkin near the right post, preserving a scoreless tie just over six minutes into the first period.
Owen Tippett collected a goal and an assist and Trevor Zegras added his team-leading 18th goal for the Flyers, who saw their losing streak extend to a season-high four games (0-3-1).
Dan Vladar yielded two goals on five shots before being replaced by Samuel Ersson, who made six saves.
Dahlin skated along the outer edge of the right circle before wristing a shot past Vladar to open the scoring at 9:30 of the first period.
Noah Ostlund skated across the blue line and floated the puck into the slot for Samuelsson, who swept the puck past Vladar to give Buffalo a 2-0 lead. The goal was the eighth of the season for Samuelsson, who scored just seven times in his previous five seasons in the NHL.
Stationed behind the net, McLeod wristed a centering feed that was converted in front by Quinn at 4:22 of the second period.
Tippett scored just over six minutes later for his sixth goal in his last 12 games for the Flyers before Dahlin converted from the slot to regain his team's three-goal advantage with 6:09 remaining in the second period.
