Red Sox sign RHP Kutter Crawford, avoid arbitration

Mandatory Credit: Eric Canha-Imagn Images The Boston Red Sox reached a one-year, $2.75 million deal with right-hander Kutter Crawford on Tuesday, avoiding arbitration.
Crawford, 29, missed the entire 2025 season with knee and wrist injuries. He also earned $2.75 million last season and will be eligible for free agency in 2029.
He led the major leagues in losses (16) and home runs allowed (34) during the 2024 season.
Crawford is 18-31 with a 4.56 ERA in 86 career games (69 starts) since making his debut in 2021 with Boston, which drafted him in the 16th round in 2017. He has struck out 389 batters in 392 1/3 innings.
