Report: Cubs set to re-sign LHP Caleb Thielbar

Terms of the pending deal were not reported.
Thielbar, 38, was 3-4 with a 2.64 ERA and one save in 67 relief appearances for the Cubs last season. He was pitching on a one-year, $3.2-million deal in 2025.
The Minnesota native had pitched each of his first eight major league seasons with the Minnesota Twins, going 23-12 with a 3.38 ERA and five saves in 347 relief outings for his hometown club going back to 2013. He did not pitch in the majors from 2016-19.
The Chicago bullpen just added another veteran left-hander in Hoby Milner, who reportedly agreed to a one-year, $3.75 million deal last week.
