The Minnesota native had pitched each of his first eight major league seasons with the Minnesota Twins, going 23-12 with a 3.38 ERA and five saves in 347 relief outings for his hometown club going back to 2013. He did not pitch in the majors from 2016-19.
The Chicago bullpen just added another veteran left-hander in Hoby Milner, who reportedly agreed to a one-year, $3.75 million deal last week.
