Autry and Odom previously worked together on Seth Greenberg's staff at Virginia Tech from 2008-10.
Autry, 54, was fired by his alma mater Syracuse on March 11, three years after he replaced Jim Boeheim.
The Orange finished 49-48 with no NCAA Tournament appearances under Autry's leadership from 2023-26.
Autry remains in the Atlantic Coast Conference by heading to Virginia, which finished 30-5 in Odom's first season.
