Report: Grizzlies trading Jaren Jackson Jr. to Jazz

Mandatory Credit: Erik Williams-Imagn Images The Memphis Grizzlies are trading two-time All-Star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz in a deal involving eight players and three draft picks, ESPN reported Tuesday.
The Grizzlies are sending Jackson, guards John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr. and center Jock Landale to the Jazz in exchange for rookie guard Walter Clayton Jr., forwards Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks and Georges Niang and three future first-round selections.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
Jackson, 26, was the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2022-23 and is a three-time All-Defensive team selection and two-time league leader in blocked shots. He has three seasons left on a five-year, $205 million contract that also includes a player option for the 2029-30 season.
Jackson is averaging 19.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks through 45 games this season for the Grizzlies, who entered Tuesday in 11th place in the Western Conference at 19-29.
Drafted by Memphis with the fourth overall pick in 2018, Jackson has career averages of 18.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots in 452 games (443 starts). He was an All-Star in 2022-23 and 2024-25.
