Report: Hawks coach Quin Snyder gets multi-year extension

Mandatory Credit: David Richard-Imagn Images The Atlanta Hawks and head coach Quin Snyder have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, ESPN reported Monday.
The Hawks (46-36) finished first in the Southeast Division this season for the first time since the 2020-21 season. They lost to the New York Knicks in six games in the first round of the playoffs.
Despite trading four-time All-Star guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards in January, the Hawks won 19 of their final 24 games in the regular season.
Snyder, 59, is 132-135 through three seasons with the Hawks. His career record in the NBA is 504-399, which includes eight seasons with the Utah Jazz (2014-22). He became head coach of the Hawks in 2023.
Snyder is the first NBA head coach to guide back-to-back Most Improved Player winners in Nickel Alexander-Walker (2025-26) and Dyson Daniels (2024-25).
