Mandatory Credit: Sam Navarro-Imagn Images Miami Marlins outfielder Griffin Conine will have surgery to repair his left hamstring next week and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks, according to MLB.com.
Miami placed Conine on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a tear in the hamstring. He will have the procedure with Dr. Dan Cooper in Dallas.
Conine, 28, left in the sixth inning of Thursday's 8-1 home win against the Cincinnati Reds. He experienced discomfort after an unsuccessful diving catch attempt in left field.
Conine is batting .273 (6-for-22) with two home runs, four RBIs, and two stolen bases in 11 games this season.
It is the second straight season with a major injury for Conine, who missed most of 2025 after undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated left shoulder.
