Mandatory Credit: Dale Zanine-Imagn Images The Boston Red Sox are trading All-Star slugger Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants in a blockbuster deal that includes right-handed pitcher Jordan Hicks going to Boston, according to ESPN.
The Red Sox will also acquire 23-year-old left-handed pitcher Kyle Harrison, along with other unnamed players.
Devers, 28, is batting .272 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs this season. However, he has been at odds with the Red Sox front office after declining to play first base following the season-ending injury to Triston Casas on May 2.
