Mandatory Credit: Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images For the first time since the ballpark opened in 1962, the Los Angeles Dodgers reportedly have sold the naming rights to their field at Dodger Stadium.
The team has reached a deal with the Japanese fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo as the field's official presenting sponsor, The Athletic reported Sunday.
The Dodgers have not confirmed the deal, which presumably will have the name Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium. An official announcement is expected prior to the March 26 season opener against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers have been looking for a field partnership since 2022.
According to the report, the contract with Uniqlo will include using its name in all references and signage related to the 64-year-old stadium in Chavez Ravine, including a newly constructed sign in center field and exclusive marketing and promotional opportunities.
