The 19th-ranked Cavaliers (8-2, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) finished last week's loss to Wake Forest with backup Daniel Kaelin under center after Morris took a hit to the head in the second quarter.
A final decision on Morris is not expected until game time against the Blue Devils (5-4, 4-1) in Durham, N.C., per the report.
Morris has passed for 2,088 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions in 10 games this year, adding 214 yards and four scores on the ground.
Kaelin completed 18 of 28 passes for 145 yards with no TDs or picks in his relief effort against the Demon Deacons, a loss that snapped Virginia's seven-game winning streak.
