San Diego FC fully acquire M David Vazquez from Union

Mandatory Credit: Chadd Cady-Imagn Images San Diego FC fully acquired midfielder David Vazquez from the Philadelphia Union on Tuesday in exchange for up to $500,000 in general allocation money.
The 19-year-old Los Angeles native joined San Diego on loan on July 28 and appeared in four MLS matches with two starts. He made his league debut with Philadelphia on June 29 against the Columbus Crew.
The Union will receive a guaranteed $250,000, plus up to an additional $250,000 if certain performance-based metrics are met. Philadelphia also will receive a future trade or sell-on percentage.
Vazquez signed with the Union as a homegrown player in 2024. He recorded two goals and one assist in 14 starts for the MLS NEXT Pro side Union II in 2025.
