Smith was a limited participant in practice earlier this week and a full participant Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Seahawks (6-7) are hoping he will be available against the Eagles (10-3). Seattle has lost four straight games and is fighting to stay in contention for a playoff berth.
Smith's injury occurred in practice on Dec. 7, and he missed the start last Sunday against the host San Francisco 49ers.
"He just tweaked his groin a little bit," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that week. "Just kind of stumbled over somebody."
The 49ers won 28-16, as Drew Lock started for the Seahawks and completed 22 of 31 passes for 269 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Smith has thrown for 2,918 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 12 games this year.
Seattle also lists safety Jamal Adams (knee), cornerback Devon Witherspoon (hip), linebacker Nick Bellore (knee) and wide receiver Dee Eskridge (ribs) as questionable.
