Some Joker Woke Up The Carolina Panthers With The Hotel Fire Alarm
The Panthers are in Seattle today, putting their undefeated record to the test against the Seahawks. Seattle is struggling due to a menagerie of little problems (Marshawn Lynch’s health, late-game execution, an unhappy Jimmy Graham) and they need to start winning soon to push the somehow 4-1 Arizona Cardinals. Thankfully for our bird friends, Carolina got woken up early this morning by some pranksters.
At about 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time, fire alarms on the Panther’s floors (but not the rest of the hotel) went off, prompting the players to leave their rooms and assemble in a meeting space. They got to tweeting their displeasure.
According to a 2012 study by the U.S. Department of Health (and also, while this has not been peer reviewed, years of firsthand experience) sleep is important. That being said, 5:30 a.m. isn’t that terrible, assuming the Panthers got to bed at a reasonable hour. Their game is at 1, so maybe they had some time to nap.
In other Seattle-area fire alarm news, this dog saved its people up by serving as a canine fire alarm and barking until they woke up and were able to escape without injuries. Good dog.
