Steve Nash Is Headed To The Los Angeles Lakers
Looks like point guard Steve Nash isn't going to the Raptors or the Knicks. He's going to the Los Angeles Lakers, who've agreed to a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns, in exchange for multiple future picks. John Gambadoro of 620 KTAR in Phoenix was the first to report the news, followed by ESPN's Marc Stein (who quickly credited Gambadoro with the scoop).
Additionally, Stein is reporting that Nash will receive a three-year contract worth $27 million. Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports that the Suns will receive the Lakers' first- and second-round picks next year, a second-round pick in 2014, and a first-rounder in 2015.
Soooo, Nash and Kobe in the same backcourt. This should be fun.
