Verrett, 32, played seven seasons with the Chargers and 49ers but has been out of the league since 2021.
The then-San Diego Chargers selected him in the first round in 2014 and he made the Pro Bowl in 2015.
Verrett has seven interceptions and 145 tackles in 40 games (36 starts) with the Chargers (2014-17) and San Francisco (2019-21).
Verrett tore his left Achilles tendon in a November 2022 workout with the 49ers, just days after returning to practice following a torn right ACL sustained in the 2021 season opener.
