Texans WR Nico Collins (concussion) misses another practice

Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-Imagn Images Three days out from the Texans' AFC divisional playoff game at New England, wide receiver Nico Collins was still not practicing on Thursday after sustaining a concussion in Monday's 30-6 wild-card win at Pittsburgh.
Collins was not seen on the field by reporters during the open portion of the practice. He also missed Wednesday's session while in concussion protocol, casting serious doubt on his status for Sunday's game.
Collins, 26, led Houston in receiving yards (1,117) and tied for the team lead in touchdown catches (six) during the regular season. It was his third straight 1,000-yard season.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection has 289 catches for 4,347 yards and 24 TDs in 66 games over his first five seasons with the Texans, who drafted him in the third round in 2021.
Collins caught three passes for 21 yards before sustaining the concussion against the Steelers. Christian Kirk stepped up in his absence, finishing with eight catches for a season-high 144 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Houston would advance to its first AFC Championship Game in franchise history should it beat the second-seeded Patriots on Sunday in Foxborough, Mass.
